PERSEVERANCE & ENDURANCE
Life is a test. We are graded by the results of our choices. When situations present themselves you can be caught in the moment and not take the time to see what you are to learn from it. When things get rough we want it to be over with as soon as possible. We want things to go back to normal and if not normal, better than the current situation. This process of tests is what I define as Perseverance & Endurance.
Hindsight is 20/20, reflecting on how you got to this point of pain can be more painful than the act of what you’re going thru. This is because you have to deal with the reality of not being able to change history. The question we need to ask ourselves is what am I to learn from this?
The could have, should have, would have thought process will do nothing but leave you stagnant, wasting valuable time. You have to above all things, want it, more than the temporary temptation of indulgence. No excuse is too big to prevent you from doing better for yourself.
You are the architect of your body. The results of who you are reflect how you envision your self. The clothes you have on, before you put them on, you visualize yourself in them. You believed in confidence that you look good in those clothes. Your body is the same way. Mentally envision your goals first then it will come into reality. Not before the work had been put in though. Within that work there will be blood sweat and tears. Things will try to break you. You will have good days and you will have bad days but you have to see it through to the end. You will have to endure the pain and persevere.
Nothing in this world is built from comfort. Look how a building is built. There is first a mental conception of something that isn’t there but will be there in due time. Ground has to be dug up. Workers labor in the elements of day and night for hours. Whether it be in the blistering cold, sweltering sun, or perfect weather, they have to endure until the task is completed.
This task can be uncomfortable. Endure until your vision becomes reality. Through ups and downs, hot or cold, good times or bad times, your eyes have to always be on the prize. You do whatever it is you have to do to cross that finish line.
