I’VE LEFT MY WOMAN
I’ve been with the same woman for over 7 years. We’ve been through good times and bad times. She’s helped me out in times of need. When there was no one to talk to she was there. She didn’t talk back, she would listen. You could call her my therapist. She believed in me when no one else would.
When I needed her, she was always there. No matter how early in the day or late at night. She never judged me. At my heaviest weight she accepted me. She was a catalyst in my weight loss. When I lost weight she treated me the same. I will always thank her for that. When I lost weight she treated me the same. I knew I wasn’t her only. She was into women and men. I would see them come in and out of her house all the time. I really didn’t care about that. As long as she was there for me when I needed, is all that mattered.
So you’re probably asking yourself, if she’s all these good things, then why are you leaving her? Truth is, I’m cheap. She was in my pockets more than I would like her to be. If someone is doing all of these good things, it should be nothing to shell out a few bucks right? I just seen things different. She also stopped being there when I needed her late at night. True enough my schedule changed but I just needed to see her later at night and that wasn’t possible.
So who’s this mystery woman? I’m talking about Golds Gym. After 7 years I have to move on. I found a new woman. The Clubs at River City. Since I am a personal trainer there (I love saying that), my membership is “complimentary”, aka FREE. Who can beat free? Since I’ve been working at “Tha Club” (that’s the new nick name) for the last month, I haven’t been to Golds. My membership was paid up until the end of June. I knew that if I was going to move on I had to go full boar. I loved going to Golds. Business is business, and nothing can beat FREE!
Switching gyms is a big deal for me. The comfortability as well as accessibility is important. Am I going to miss it? Yea. How could you not after 7 years? I knew where everything was in that gym and how to use it. I tried at least everything once. The staff there was cool. Made a few new friends as well. I now have a new home and they treat me even better.
I can be honest about being nervous first coming to Tha Club. It was just different. What made the transition even easier, was the welcoming and open arms of the staff as well as the members.
Shout out to Wes Joos. He really spearheaded me getting hired here. A real stand up guy.
Dan & Shelly, I thank you as well.
I’ll be forever grateful to the three of you.
My first workout there was mad awkward. I wasn’t use to anything there. The treadmills and ellipticals were different from what I was use to. After a month I’ve found my groove. My gains are noticeable. I can concentrate better on my workouts. Being in this environment is really good for my mental and physical. I love it. My job now is to absorb as much info in this culture as possible. My clientele is building and it feels good to train people to help them reach their goals.
If you’re in the Peoria, Il area and looking for a personal trainer ( https://christiansweightsuccess.net/personal-training/ ), you can find me at Tha Club.
