DAY 70 OF MY JUICE FAST
This is the longest I’ve gone on any type of fast. Wow, 70 days! Anything past 60 days are new records for me.
Today I feel great. It’s amazing what a good nights rest can do for you. Mentally I’m in a good space. I still don’t know how long I am going to keep this up.
What I fear is this. When I eat something solid, my body is going to retain and my weight (scale wise) will jump. I am not where I want to be on the scale just yet. I am in this crazy position where I feel I am not down enough in my weight to be cleared to eat. I question why my weight hasn’t dropped in almost 20 days. I’m trying to keep my cool and not snap out lol. It could be too many PEANUT BUTTER BANANA SMOOTHIES, or smoothies in general. It could be lack of full 7-8 hours of sleep a day. I’m still trying to figure this all out. I’m keeping my cool….for now.
Today I started my day with 6 bottles of water over a 2 hour period. 32oz of juice and some BEEF BONE BROTH. I had a WATERMELON FRUIT SMOOTHIE about an hour before I hit the gym. I love my pre workout drink. GREEN TEA and instant coffee. That combo has me jumping off the walls. It gives me so much energy.
Today was chest and tricep day at the gym. I finished the day off with 40 mins of cardio. 20 mins on the elliptical & 20 on the stairclimber. I’m getting stronger as you can tell by the video below. Even though it’s the smith machine I still count it as 315lbs (NEW PR!). I’m really testing my strength on how much my body can take with the fuel I give it on this fast.
As you can see in the picture above my body is leaning out. I’m always self conscious about my loose skin. I’m in a constant debate with myself on what’s fat or what’s loose skin in regards to my actual weight. With that being the question/debate I battle with, I went to Complete Nutrition after my workout. I wanted to get an analysis on my body fat and muscle composition. This will be my next video that I’ll release Monday 9-18-16 (I’m going to dedicate Mondays to new videos. Once a week, you’ll get new videos). I walked away more informed. I learned some new things about my body that I didn’t know. All good news though.
Im just learning to be happy where I am and counting the non scale victories. Being able to fit into a medium size shirt and not have my stomach sticking out is one. That new pr on the incline bench press as you viewed above is another. One thing I want you to take from this is learn how to be happy through your journey. Always strive for greatness and improvements but most of all, be happy.
These are my juices for the next few days.
- Carrots-1 bag
- Oranges- 1 bag
- Green Cabbage- 1 head
- Green bell peppers-3
- Red apples- 1 bag
- Plums- 1 bag
- Celery- 1 stalk
- Beets- 2
- Red chard- 1 bunch
WATERMELON JUICE (I’m freezing these because I already have 2 quarts in my fridge that I have to use)
