CARDIO WORKOUT AT PLANET FITNESS
I hope you’re having a successful day! Just wanted to check in with you. At times I feel I’m distant when I post videos as opposed to writing you. It is a blog after all. Blogs are meant to be read. Then again a blog can be whatever you want it to be ?
Today i decided to workout at Planet Fitness. This is my first time here this year. Even though I pay my membership fees monthly, I hit up PF about once a month. It’s on the other side of town so that’s why I don’t frequent here. I just so happen to be on this side of town so I was like, why not PF it.
I started with 10 mins on the stationary bike. I didn’t set any resistance on it because I know I wanted to run. Didn’t wanna burn my legs out. I did stretch first. That’s something I’ve been working on lately. For those who’ve been following me for a while you know I slack at stretching. I’ma work in progress.
Next I hit up the treadmill. I start at 5.5 speed. After one minute I speed up to 6.0. One minute after that I speed up to 6.5. As you guessed it, after one minute I increase my speed to 7.0. I then slow down back down to a speed of 5.5 after one minute. I continue this cycle until I hit three miles. To be honest I hit the 7.0 maybe twice then the highest I would go is 6.5. My legs wouldn’t allow me to go to 7.0 after that second cycle lol. Last week I was up to 7.5 as my peak. I’m working on 8.0 as my peak. I’ll get there.
I like running at this pace because I can switch it up and I have one minute goals which makes distance running easier and fun for me.
Last stop was 20 mins on the stair climber. I was on level 5 for the first 3 minutes. I went up one level after every minute until I hit level 11. When my one minute was up on level 11 I moved back down to level 5 and stared my cycle over again. I spent the last 3 mins cooling down on level 5.
I was glad to get that cardio in. I had a good workout playlist far as music goes. Thank goodness for my ginger lemon green tea because when I got off that stair climber I was drenched in sweat and thirsty.
I’ll do my circuit training with dumbbells in my room later tonight. I’ve yet to show you all that workout. Looks like there’s another video I have to make for the “blog” lol ???
