WHAT YOU WILL NEEDÂ
- Irish Butter – 1 stick
- Chicken Wings – 12 pack
- Fresh Lemon – 2
- Fresh Rosemary – 1 stem
- Ground Black Pepper – 1-2 tablespoon
- Kosher Salt – 1 tablespoon
- Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning – 1 tablespoon
PREPPING THE CHICKEN
- Preheat oven to 425 F
- On a sheet pan, spray with non stick cooking spray and set aside
- Rinse off chicken and place in a large bowl (if you have one) and set aside
- Place half of the irish butter in bowl Place in the microwave to melt
- Pour melted butter over the chicken wings, then toss to distribute
- Place chicken wings on the sheet pan – skin side up
- Place sheet pan in the oven, on the top rack
- Bake for 30-40 mins/ until golden & crispy
LEMON BUTTER PEPPER SAUCE
- Melt the remaining irish butter
- Slice lemons in half
- Squeeze lemon juice into a large bowl
- Add melted butter
- Add salt, pepper, and creole seasoning to the mixture
- Peel rosemary leaves into the bowl
- Stir mixture until everything is well blended
TAKE CHICKEN OUT OF THE OVEN AFTER 30-40 MINS
- With tongs, toss chicken in the bowl (if big enough, if you don’t just pour half of the lemon butter mixture directly over each wing) of lemon butter mixture until well coated
- Place chicken wings back on the sheet tray, skin side up
- Bake 5 mins
OPEN OVEN DOOR AND PULL CHICKEN OUT ON THE RACK
- Take remaining lemon butter mixture and carefully coat the wings (Basting)
- Bake 5 mins
YOU CAN NOW TAKE WINGS OUT OF THE OVEN
