1 YEAR BLOGGERVERSARY!

ChristiansWeightSuccess.net is 1 YEAR OLD!  I launched this blog 1 year ago today.  Wow!  Time flies by so quick.  I just want to tell YOU….THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!  I appreciate your support so much.  I could not have gotten this far without you.  You have no idea how grateful I am for you.

One year ago today I was so nervous launching my blog.  All the way up to launch date I was scrambling to get things in order. I knew what I wanted the blog to look like.  I knew what I wanted out of it.  I had no clue what the results of launching it would be.  I’ve had so much fun this past year.  I’ve learned so much.  I’ve helped a lot of people.  That was the most surprising thing to me.  So many people reading my posts, watching my videos, then letting me know how much of an inspiration I am to them.  It was humbling & overwhelming.

When I lost weight, I didn’t do it for anyone else.  I did it for myself.  I did it because I had to change my life.  I never thought that my story would motivate people to do the same with their lives.  I never knew so many people would be interested in my thoughts, recipes or workouts.  I was just living my life.

It wasn’t until my family and friends encouraged me to share my life through a blog.  I was hesitant because I am a private person.  An introvert at heart.  It took me a while to find my voice through writing.  I believe I’ve gotten better.  It took me a while to get comfy in front of the camera as well.  I believe I’ve gotten better too.  It’s all about growth.  You have read/watched me grow this past year.  Never in my life have I ever been so transparent.  It’s scary and alleviating at the same time.

I’ve been blessed to have companies send me their products to try.  I was shocked when Perfect Fitness saw my resistance bands video and sent me their perfect push ups for free.  I was like, “Is this a joke?”  As cheap as I am, free is the best thing to hear lol.  That’s just one of many.  Things like that, my blog has provided an outlet for things like that to happen for me.  I am blessed more than you would know.  I had no idea that could actually happen.

I’ve helped several people jumpstart their weight loss journey.  I’ve shared with them my journey and how I lost weight.  The Christians Weight Success Starter Program has changed many peoples lives.  I thank every one who has trusted me to help them be the catalyst in their weight loss journey.  I’ve had articles written on me, as well as been on several podcasts.

MY PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

My plan going forward is to become better at this blogging thing.  Ultimately to rely on it full time as my income.  I have so much information to give you all but those 8 hours at my job takes away from it.  I’ve done the best that I can managing all this myself.  In no way would I ever take it back.  This blogging world is so intense and challenging.  I love it all.  I want to do so much more.  Hearing full time bloggers stories on how they once were where I am now gives me hope that I can become like them, if not better, in the near future.  I know it’s going to take more time.  Ultimately it’s going to take YOU as the reader to share my content when it’s posted.

I believe not enough people have seen my story, let alone read it.  It all comes down to sharing.  Sharing is vital in what us bloggers do.  It gives us a chance to be seen and heard from people within your network.  If those people in your network share it, then those people share it, and so on, and so on, then I could reach more people.  I’ve been managing all my social networks constantly sharing and asking for shares.  The ones that do, I’m so grateful for.  I just wish there were more.

However I am happy for the reach that I have gotten.  I asked myself several times what would I do with 1 million followers or subscribers?  I have no clue.  That would be a lot to manage.  I’m the kind of person that thinks like this, “I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.”  Until then, try not to stress out about it.

My announcement that I’ve advertise to you for the past few days is….

I’ve started a Patreon page.  Patreon is a site where you, can donate any dollar amount you want to a creator of content.  That creator would be me.  There will be perks for Patrons.  Meaning, Patron only exclusive content.  I will always produce free content.  There will be content on Patreon that once you donate, you will be able to see videos that are not on my blog or youtube site. (I have a few videos FOR PATRONS ONLY)  You are not obligated to donate.  Think of it more like a love gift for me.  I’ve been giving you free content for one year (it’s like I interned for one year lol) and I will continue to produce that.  Working full time as a cook, then creating content for my blog, as well as videos is a lot.  It requires a lot of my free time.  It’s nerve wrecking a lot of times, but more than that, it’s something I love because it’s for YOU.

One of my goals this year is to remove myself from the workplace and becoming a full time blogger/youtuber.  Patreon gives me, the creator, the option to set up certain videos to be viewed by patrons only.  A Patron is one who donates/supports my content.  I would love it if you would become my Patron.  Click on the picture below to visit my Patreon page.
