I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT I’M DOING

 

It’s my first day on this new diet.  This will be the first day of the rest of my new life.  Midway through the day I want to cave in.  I start doubting everything.  What’s my purpose?  Oh snap,  I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT I’M DOING!  I’ve been there.    That day one excitement of my new diet.  I had everything mapped out in my head ( at least I thought I did) on how this whole thing was going to go.  What I thought I knew, now I know, I haven’t began to touch the tip of the iceberg on what all this really means.  This is how I thought after a failed diet.  Have you every felt like that?

Admittance is the first step towards correction.  My thought process was off.  Hindsight is 20/20 so now I can look at things in a mature matter and learn from my mistakes.  Going into a new diet without proper information is the number one factor in sabotaging that diet.  Did I have the mental fortitude to discipline myself long enough to endure that diet.  Did I have enough will power to see this thing out until I hit my goal?  Did I have enough focus?  That’s the proper information I needed to have.  I didn’t have that.

You have to be honest and ask yourself that question.  I never asked myself that question.  It was like, “Oh here’s a new diet, let me try it.”  I never understood fully why I failed.  I would blame it on the amount or lack thereof, food that I was intaking.  I would blame it on, not enough money to buy groceries.  I would blame it on, eating healthy is expensive.  I’m working too many hours at work and I’m tired would be up there in my top cop outs.

If the current me, could go back in time and tell the younger me, “YOU ARE TO BLAME, STOP BLAMING OTHERS.  OWN IT BY CHANGING YOUR MINDSET. ONLY THEN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND IN TOTALITY OF WHAT YOU’RE DOING.  STICK WITH IT UNTIL YOU SEE IN THE MIRROR WHAT YOU ENVISIONED IN YOUR MIND.”

That statement means that it’s not about the diet at all.  People don’t lose weight because of diets.  People lose weight because of their mentality.  They discipline themselves.  They get into a routine and don’t stray away from it until they see what they’ve envisioned.  Their overall attitude about the diet changes.  That needs to happen first and foremost.  If not, you will always fail.  You can believe in any type of diet you want.  If you can’t believe in yourself to be strong in all tempting situations, then why do it.  You have to put your foot down and declare that you will be the victor in this situation in your life.

When I finally saw results in losing weight, it wasn’t because of my diet.  It was what I thought, and how I thought.  Did I know that then at that current time?  No, I didn’t.  As I stated earlier, I can see things clearer after looking back on everything.  I always ask myself, more than others, “HOW DID YOU LOSE ALL THAT WEIGHT?”  When I try to break it down from a materialistic standpoint, there wasn’t anything spectacular about it.  I can say this about the process of how I did it, I WANTED IT!  That mentality allowed me to look past temptations and self doubt.  My mind was set on seeing it out until I reached my goal.  That’s another big factor too.  SEEING.  You have to envision it in your mind.  Start in your mind.  Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to go in your mind and carve out your future.  Just know it will take work, time, and dedication.  You can work hard as you want  but all of that could be in vain if it’s not done right.  Get into the right mindset.  That’s the only way you’ll have success at anything.

 

 

 

TODAY IS DAY 86 OF JUICE FAST/NO SOLIDS.

NO ONE HAS GOTTEN THE CORRECT DATE/DAY WHEN I’LL END MY FAST.
