Over these past few weeks I have been tested beyond what I could see in front of me. The biggest obstacle I had to over come was the fact my basement flooded. My basement is where I have my home gym. I had to pull and pitch my foot padding. I couldn’t afford to risk it molding from the water.

Shout out to my clients that worked out with me at my home gym. These are some of the best people in life. Being that my home gym had to be shut down for a few weeks, I still found a way to get their workouts in.

I was highly discouraged during this time. My way of living both literally and professionally was put on hold. I panicked, I’m not even going to lie. I was stuck trying to figure how all of this was going to make sense(cents).

Life is continually testing us. This situation wasn’t any different. What was I to learn this time? Was I being punished? Irregardless, I had to face it head on. Being able to adjust on the fly is an acquired skill of a personal trainer. That attribute kicked into high gear.

The clients that would come to my home gym, I end up getting them a short term pass at the “big gym” until I got my home settled.

With that being said I took notice to how the staff at the gym were welcoming. I stayed out of there way, meanwhile bringing business to their operation. It was a win win.

While all of this was going on, I reached the conclusion that I needed to grow more as a personal trainer. I need to be in this type of environment as much as I can, to give me a chance of acquiring more clients.  I need to expand my ability to train various clients from all walks of life.

I am proud to announce, I am officially a personal trainer at Golds Gym (5131 West American Prairie Drive, Peoria, IL 61615)! The same gym where I started my weight-loss journey, Ive come full circle as a trainer there.

As you’re reading this, let this be a testament to keep grinding. Your hard work is going to pay off. It’s not going unnoticed. God will bless you when the time is right. That timing may not be yours. Until then keep faith, work in it, diligently.
