I’VE GONE KETO
I’VE GONE KETO
10-31-18
Im on day one of full keto. This is something new for me. So far I feel good. Just trying to make sure I do it right. I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts trying to get a full understanding about the science behind it all.
It’s all about manipulating numbers. I do not know why I’ve never looked into any of this. I am now counting calories, grams, as part of tracking my macros. This is all new but I need this. When I was on my juice fast I never tracked calories. I just did as a felt. That’s because I understood it because I had a desire to. I have that same desire with this

I never got back to that post to finish it. My life has been busy with all this keto stuff. I’m getting the hang of it all. This tracking your calories with macros is kinda fun. Ima numbers guy so it’s like playing a real life video game.
It’s a challenge trying to find foods that fit my lifestyle that fits all this keto criteria. I’m getting use to drinking unsweetened tea. I can’t remember a time in my life where I would drink tea without it being sweetened with at least honey. I’ve always thought fried pork rinds were bad for you but I’m learning how keto friendly these are. They come in handy for a snack no matter what time it is.
I’m feeling better as well. I’ve had some ailments for a while and it’s due to not eating right. Not diving too deep into that I’ll say that if keto is helping my body heal, then I’m all for it.
I’ve been feeling more energetic as well. My workouts are going good. I’ve gone back to an hour of cardio for the past two weeks even though I’ve been doing this keto diet for about five days. I knew I was going to change my diet a few weeks prior so I prepped myself. I’ll lift weights when I feel ready. I may mix it up this week. Friday I added 30 mins of HIIT weight training. So I may split it this week, 30 mins of steady state cardio and 30 mins of HIIT weight training.
Speaking of interval training, I’ve finally figured out the interval training option on the elliptical. The challenge to try to stay above the lines is fun. I’ve finished season two of Iron Fist, and have started DareDevil while on the elliptical. Going back to my roots how I first lost weight feels redeeming.
I could go on and on about this but you’ll have to keep your eyes on your email notification for the next blog post which will come soon.
