HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

#SundayConfession
I had a mini Kanye moment this week.  I know I wrote last week about FOCUS ON POSITIVITY .  This is #SundayConfession, I’ll admit I didn’t follow my own advice.  This situation got me furious so quick!  I got ready to make a payment on pressing some shirts to be available for you all.  The place of business doesn’t accept debit cards, only credit.  They did let me know they could accept checks.  My response, “A check is paper debit tho.”  I sat on the phone in silence after that.  I got mad after I hung up because I didn’t understand their logic. As a business why wouldn’t you accept a debit card?  So I went on a twitter rant, using the hashtag #TweetLikeKanye .  Kanye West is funny to me, even though he’s serious when he speaks.  I may not agree 100% with him all the time but I get it.  It’s one of those things where you get frustrated at situations and you just have to vent.  In this moment of anger, I realized I am an emotional eater.  Once my mind gets to going on certain things, I eat.  To be honest I didn’t do bad as I could have.  It’s one of those things you realize about yourself in the midst of a situation.

Bread & processed sugar (I’ve admitted that sweets are my kryptonite) has crept its way into my life this past week.  I had pizza & croissants this week.  I debated if I would share this information or not.  I think it’s best for me that I did.  I don’t want to come off as the strongest person in the world and only show one side like I am this health nut (side note…why is that term used when referring to someone being health conscious.  That is somewhat derogatory. I may write more on that in the future.) who doesn’t get weak.  I’ve been under the weather this past week.  This a direct connection from not eating clean.  When I eat clean, I’m never under the weather.  My immune system is at its peak.  My body will tell me when I’m messing up and I got the message this week.  Look, I love food and I will not hesitate to admit it.  It’s tough for me when I find something I like, but can’t have it as much as I want.  I don’t like restrictions.  I deal with internal battles daily on what to have and what not to have.  Life after losing weight is about the lifestyle change.  It takes a lot of adjusting.  Adjusting isn’t impossible though.

I’ve been having another battle with this weights vs cardio situation.  The battle is, which one to focus on more.  I don’t want to do more of one and the other get away from me.  I hate feeling sluggish when I do cardio.  I hate to feel weak when lifting weights.  Older guys at the gym can give you great guidance which I am always open for.  One guy told me, “You’re going to have to choose to do more of one or the other, every other day, or in seasons.”  I like to do one hour of cardio before weight lifting which normally takes about an hour or hour and a half.  If I don’t do both I feel off.  I may have to just switch to doing the weights before the cardio.  The thing is when I lift, I’m constantly drinking my green tea or water.  I hate feeling bloated when I’m doing cardio.  My cardio normally consists of running, elliptical, stair climber or jump roping.  Now do you understand my battle?  CHOICES!!!  I’m asking you, which one do you do and which one should I do and why?  Please let me know by leaving your responses below.
