“OFFICIALLY” DAY 60 OF MY JUICE FAST

YES!!!  This is “Officially” Day 60 of my Juice Fast.  Sorry about jumping the gun yesterday.  I really thought it was Day 60.  I’ve been trying to find out all day where I got a day mixed up at to make me think that yesterday was Day 60.  Well, no need to dwell on the past, lets move in the now!

How do I feel? I feel great.  No real cravings outside of white rice.  I was asked why am I doing another 60 day fast.  My answer was simple, and hopefully it didn’t come off as arrogant.  I said, “It’s personal.   I need to do it for myself.”  I just wanted to do it again, just to see if I could put myself in a mental block for two months.  I can happily say, I accomplished that.

So now what?  I am going to continue this fast until I feel the need to eat solid foods.  I am not where I want to be far as weight wise, but I can tell a big difference in my body.   I never skipped a day of lifting weights in these 60 days.  I did weights along with cardio.  That was a big addition to this juice fast as opposed to when I did it three years ago.  During that time I only did cardio.

LIVE BLOGGING

Today I will try “live blogging”.  It’ll be no different from sending out a tweet.  Twitter is just micro blogging.  I will update this post every hour to an hour and a half with what my intake is.  I will try to be detailed as possible.  It’ll be tough in the morning because I’m down this thing called working, but I’ll make it work.

DAY 60

9-2-16

4:45am

My alarm went off at 4am but I hit the snooze button until 4:20am.  I immediately showered and said my morning positive affirmations (while still sleepy in the shower).  After that I did my quick morning workout

  • Pull ups
  • Ab carves
  • Dumbbell gobble squats
  • Perfect push-ups

After that I got dressed and drank two bottles (1L) of water.  I will update you all in about an hour!  Have a successful day!

1L of water a bowl of farina cereal.  It’s kind of like cream of wheat.  This is one of my “grey” areas when I’m on my fast.  It’s not a solid and not a liquid.  It’s right in between.  I’ve been peeing like crazy this last hour but that’s totally normal for my mornings.  Will check again soon!

Got my 1 gallon of water in!  At this point in the day I really need a nap.  I’m still tired from yesterday’s workout.  I’m debating to take a nap later.  I still have to get to the gym and put in some work.  ISYMFS! I’ll check back in with you a little later.
11:30am


Besides my stomach letting me know that it’s feeding time, another way I can tell is I get sleepy and sluggish.  This is why you always gotta have your juices or smoothies readily available and near.  This is my WATERMELON FRUIT SMOOTHIE I’m glad I had this.  To think I almost left it at home.  All 32oz I’m drinking.  Now I feel revitalized until my next feeding.  That reads as if Ima zoo animal lol.  I’ll check back in with you soon.

Sorry for the late update.  I took a nap from 2-330pm.  I had to get that nap in.  I woke up, gathered my thoughts as well as my gym clothes then came outside for a run.  I’m proud because yesterday my time was 10:30 a mile.  This is my second day running so I see improvement.  About to ride the stationary bike for 15 mins then lift weights.  It’s leg and bicep day.  I will update you soon!
6:30pm

I had a decent workout.  I put a lot of my energy into my run. By the time I fit back to the gym for weights I wasn’t into it all the way.  I did a few curls and leg extensions but I wasn’t focused.  I wasn’t into it.  Plus I was hungry & slightly sleepy.  I’ve worked out enough to listen to my body to stop when I’m hungry or feel weak.  That’s how you get injured.

I came home & made a smoothie

  • Coconut milk
  • Spinach
  • Bananas
  • Peanut butter
  • Oatmeal
  • Raisins
  • Nutmeg
  • Chia seeds


I like eating my smoothies in a bowl.  I’m funny like that lol.  Makes me feel it’s an entre’

This will be my final update for this post.  Season 2 of Narcos is on Netflix so I’m going to try and watch that but I feel I’m going to fall asleep.  These days are long.  When I take a nap I’m still sleepy regardless of waking up to workout.  I’ll have to find a balance.  This is a daily adjustment.

Ok where am I going from here far as diet?  I’m going to continue to “juice fast/ no solids” until I hit my goal weight.  When I hit it I’ll let you know.  Plus I want to go past 60 days.  This is the second time in my life where I’ve gone 60 days but I’ve never gone past 60 days.  You have to keep challenging yourself.  This is what I try to do on a daily basis.  Strive for greatness! SUCCESS IS GOLDEN!!!
